Demonstrators clamour for release ofWikileaks
founder: "PROTEST marches took place today in numerous cities in Spain, as well as parts of Latin America over the arrest of Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange.
Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in Madrid, Alicante, A Coruña, Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia, Zaragoza and Málaga, calling for Assange's release.
Further gatherings were held this weekend in various parts of Argentina, Colombia, México and Perú, as well as in Amsterdam.
Assange (pictured) is currently being held in custody in London, pending extradition to Sweden where he is wanted in connection with sexual abuse charges."
