It happened at 11pm when the man who is now in custody attacked the three British victims. One of the victims, a 47 year old woman had only slight cuts to her neck and was taken to the Las Américas Health Centre. The other woman, aged 43, was cut in one of her arms and taken to a hospital in Adeje. And the third victim, a 47 year old man was cut in the face and also taken to a clinic in the South of Tenerife.

The attacker is reported to be in his 50’s. It was the hotel receptionist who alerted the police, and when they arrived at the scene the attacker had fled and was hiding in his room where he was arrested.
